"Then he isn't safe?" said Lucy.
"Safe?" said Mr. Beaver; "don't you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you."

i love this line from the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. it tells so much of the LORD. safe? who said anything about safe, but HE's just and good. and the King. and that's what matters.

I played Mr. Beaver in a fourth-grade play. The symbolism escaped me; probably still would. I was more interested in Lucy, the girl who played Mrs. Beaver. I got to give her a kiss on the cheek.
