SM gig

SM gig 301105

did a gig for a summer madness gathering the other night. load in, set up from nothing to running...thankfully had extra hands. it was a good gig and the vision of SM for the next several years is amazing. it was a gig night where i needed some encouragment in my audio geek abilites. the bloke speaking for the night was Tre Sheppherd of 100 Hours, a rock band from england. tre wouldn't be one for small talk, but walked by and threw a 'nice sound, not many women engineers out there, good work.' that was timed perfectly.

load out...made me remember my first week of working for the PA company in the US. for the first week or two i would work from 8-5, cycle home, eat and then ggo to bed for about half 7. wednesday night, i was wrecked. ah, the days of being strong enough to move gear about...
